Jamie & Jonathan’s Rain-Plan Wedding at Bellemont Estate: A Carriage, a Horse Named Bliss, and Five Generations in One Room
Jamie & Jonathan’s Rain-Plan Wedding at Bellemont Estate: A Carriage, a Horse Named Bliss, and Five Generations in One Room

Jamie had her heart set on a gorgeous outdoor wedding. Then the rain moved in, and the plans had to move inside. But here’s the beautiful thing about Jamie and Jonathan’s October 10, 2026, wedding at Bellemont Estate: the change of plans didn’t take away the magic. It became part of the story!
As a Jacksonville wedding photographer and part of our husband-and-wife photo and video team, I know a wedding day can hold surprises. After nearly two decades of capturing celebrations, I’ve seen how much it matters to stay flexible, keep communicating, and be ready when a special moment opens up. Jamie and Jonathan’s day was full of love, laughter, music, family, and one particularly wonderful break in the rain.
A carriage moment, right when the weather allowed
Jamie’s princess dreams were still very much on the schedule. A wonderful team of vendors stuck around to help make them happen, including Pinto Carriage Works. When the rain let up for a little while, Jamie got to ride in the beautiful carriage and meet Bliss, the horse.
That pause in the weather gave us a chance to make photographs that felt true to the day: Jamie and Jonathan together in the carriage, and the two of them standing beside Bliss. Their smiles say it all. Sometimes the most memorable moments arrive in a window you couldn’t have planned down to the minute.

Then came another playful carriage moment: framed by its heart-shaped cutout, Jonathan waved while Jamie laughed behind her hand. It’s such a sweet little glimpse of their personalities and the humor they share. They didn’t need the day to unfold exactly as imagined to enjoy being in it together!
A ceremony officiated by Lee
This wedding was a little different for us, and in the best way: we covered all three of our services in one day. Lee officiated Jamie and Jonathan’s ceremony, while I was behind the camera for both the photography and the videography. So our whole team was part of the moment, from the words that made it official to the photographs that hold onto it.
Standing up there with a couple is a completely different view of a wedding. You notice how they hold hands, how they look at each other while the vows are being said, and how the room leans in. We photographed the ceremony from the outside while Lee led it from the inside, and that combination gave Jamie and Jonathan something special: a ceremony they could be fully present in, documented by the same people who helped make it happen.

Jamie laughed through nearly the whole thing, and Jonathan never stopped smiling at her. That’s the kind of ceremony we love to be part of, whether we’re standing beside the couple or across the room with a camera.

If you’re looking for one team to handle photography, videography, and the ceremony itself, that’s exactly what we do, and it means one fewer thing to coordinate on a day that already has plenty moving.
A reception styled with personality
Inside, the reception brought together dramatic black linens, gold chargers, blush napkins, and burgundy and blush florals. Gold candlesticks added to the elegant table details, while the glowing neon sign reading “The Fowlers” made the celebration feel unmistakably theirs.
I love how personal wedding details can make a room feel like your room. The textures, colors, and little finishing touches become part of the memories, and photographs help you revisit them long after the last song.

Music to keep the party moving
Jonathan is a big music guy, so he planned a reception with a DJ, a live saxophonist from Bradley Cohen Music, and a live violinist. What a joyful mix for keeping the party going!
The reception had plenty of personal touches beyond the music, too. During the celebration, Jamie and Jonathan kissed beneath ribbon wands as guests reached in around them. With “The Fowlers” glowing behind them, it was one of those lively, affectionate moments that makes a wedding feel like the couple: surrounded by people who are happy to celebrate them.

There was laughter, a speech, and a dance floor lit by LED foam sticks printed with “The Fowlers.” The combination of live performers and a DJ meant music was central to the reception just as Jonathan wanted. And those glowing sticks? A cheerful, unmistakably personal detail for a couple who wanted to keep the party going!

A five-generation family memory
Jamie’s daughter and her five-week-old granddaughter were there to share the day. One especially meaningful moment was a five-generation photograph with Jamie’s grandmother and mom, Jamie, her daughter, and her granddaughter together.
That’s the kind of family memory that can mean even more as the years go by. A wedding celebrates two people choosing one another, and it can also bring generations together in the same room. With a brand-new baby in the family, Jamie and Jonathan’s celebration held a lovely reminder of how much life and love can fit into one day.

And then, a sparkler send-off!
The celebration ended with a sparkler exit: Jamie and Jonathan kissing beneath a tunnel of sparklers held by cheering guests. After a day that asked everyone to adapt, the final scene was bright, joyful, and full of people surrounding the couple with love. What a way to close the night!

Planning an outdoor wedding? A few rain-plan reminders
Jamie and Jonathan’s wedding is a lovely reminder that a rain plan isn’t a prediction that something will go wrong. It’s a way to feel prepared, so you can stay present and enjoy the day whatever the forecast brings.
- Have a rain plan you feel good about. Talk through the backup arrangements with your venue and planning team before the wedding day.
- Keep your photo and video team in the loop. A flexible team can adapt as the day changes and be ready for brief weather breaks, like Jamie’s carriage moment with Bliss.
- Build in a little wiggle room. A bit of breathing space can make it possible to take advantage of a pause in the rain without making the day feel rushed.
A timeline can help everyone move with the day instead of fighting it. Our wedding collections include wedding day timeline creation, so we can work with you on a plan that supports your priorities and leaves room for real life.
